Tech Session

"FJ40 Rear Disk Brakes"

First off, you need lots of supervision !

Put the rig on jack stands; a two person job ?

Remove the old brakes

Cut off the back plate: easier than pulling axles & unbolting...

Get area all nice & clean

Install caliper bracket, leave bolts loose untill all are started...

tighten the bolts...

Install disk & caliper

Don't forget the other side :-)

Almost done !

Connect the new line & bleed

We also did RDB on Jamie's  FJ60 !  (Jamie is the one with the hair) Same process...

Meanwhile, Eric & Sandy tune-up the 80
